Germanys second most important party
I don't want to write about the result of the federal election in Germany
yesterday. It's one of the major attributes of a democracy to accept the
result even if it doesn't represent the own persuation. The only reason to
fight against it is the manipulation through potentates, but here I still have
a strong believe into our German system.
here I don't talk about the SPD. It's about the party of the non-voters
which have been able to reach 28.8% yesterday. That's a sad result,
embarrassing, a black day for democracy in Germany. There are more than
enough countries in the world where people fight and die for the rights
we've got here. And so it's not just a right, it's also an obligation to
take part. It makes me sad when I hear people complaining that they can't change anything
and that's the fault of the politicians that we, the voters, are tired. But
no, that's not right. Elections and politcs are not only the one party that
exactly fits my personal needs and that wins for the next legislative period.
It's also the possibility of setting signs and showing needs if smaller
parties with special topics get their votes. And it's the chance to
let them participate in the political discussions in the parlament. Politics
is a mix of concepts, ideas, and directions. And there's a continuous change,
for the whole country, for each federal state, and for each commune. So everyone please take your chance and vote the next time.
